Masonic Angel Foundation Donates School Supplies to Latham Students through the Beehive School Tools Program
August 11, 2016
Our dear friend Bob Fellows of the Masonic Angel Foundation, extended an invitation to us to participate in their Beehive School Tools assembly night in the dining room at Universal Lodge in Orleans. It was a great opportunity for me to meet Lodge members and to thank them for all they do for our students. In fact, I no sooner arrived and Bob pointed out a set of boxes with “Latham” posted on them. The boxes contained pencil boxes, erasers, pens, pencils, and notebooks for our students.
There were a number of volunteers present and together we were able work “assembly line style” to complete the assembly of school supplies for 1,000 children that evening.
Bob shared with me that the entire effort was generously supported by local organizations and partnerships with Dollar Tree and Staples. Over the past three years the Masons have given 3,169 kits to the children of Cape Cod.
It was a great evening and a pleasure to help out. The Masons have been such good friends to our students whenever the need arises and, for that, we are all very grateful.
