Latham Hawks place first at soccer tournament

The Latham Hawks, our Special Olympics soccer team, concluded their season by attending their Qualifying Tournament at Plymouth Sports Complex in Mansfield on Sunday, October 21st. The team consisted of 13 of our students, all of whom remained positive despite the gloomy weather. They displayed exceptional energy and showed everyone at the tournament what teamwork is all about. The Hawks took first place in their division, ending the day with an undefeated record. 

A huge thank you goes out to the coaching staff from Children’s Services, who helped make this successful season possible: Lauren Viera, Catherine Gaudet, Victoria Cordeiro, Matthew O’Sullivan, Patricia Thomas, and Sadie Tansey.  All of our coaches had good things to say about the day of our tournament, and they were happy to end the season on such a positive note.
